TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Empowering

people through communications

PROCESS

I have had the honour of conducting communication training programmes for children through my work with Terre des Hommes and World Vision. These programmes engaged children either vulnerable to exploitation or serving as youth advocates, with the aim of equipping them to raise their voices and champion their concerns.

At Terre des Hommes, I designed and delivered training modules on Child Journalism (C4J) and Child Advocacy (C4A) for children in India and Nepal, and facilitated awareness and advocacy communications workshops for children from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and the Philippines. Each was a two-day programme, with equal emphasis on concepts and practical application. Core topics included reporting, research, journalism tools, and strategic communication for advocacy. In addition, I have trained staff on ethical content collection and storytelling to strengthen organisational communication practices.

STREET
THEATRE
PROCESS

I have worked with teams coaching children to script and perform plays that promote positive behaviour change within communities. These performances addressed issues such as preventing child marriages, fostering respect for marginalised groups, and encouraging school enrolment.

The plays were staged in prominent village spaces to maximise community engagement. I have also collaborated with professional theatre artists to develop strategies for using performance as an effective tool for social change.
